Don't you just love that name? I sure do. That is the business name of Connie Bradley whose hook in was Saturday. This has become an annual event that fills up quickly. Each year Connie picks a non profit and all the proceeds go to that group. This year she chose Pets for Vets. The following is from their website.
"The enduring bond humans share with animals has the power to reduce suffering, mitigate loneliness, improve mental well-being and bridge the gap between ourselves and others. For our returning troops, these benefits are especially important to help ease the transition into civilian life.
Pets for Vets was created to improve the lives of both Veterans and animals by bringing them together in a thoughtful, caring way. Our goal is to give back to the brave servicemen and women who have given everything to our country, while finding homes for deserving shelter pets. By matching the right pet with the right Veteran, everyone wins! Shelter animals receive a second chance at life and Veterans receive a second chance at health and happiness."
The hook in was a great success and hopefully many dollars were raised to help this organization.
There were a few hooked pieces on display.
Here is a better picture of Connie's rug that I showed a few posts back. It's got to be at least 4' across and hooked to perfection in a 3 to an 8 cut.
Darn. I somehow missed taking a picture of Lynn's pumpkin rug that was hooked with the widest handtorn strips I had ever seen. Some of them had to be over an inch wide. It was wonderful.
Daddy is leaving early in the AM for a day trip to Michigan, so this sweetie is spending the night. She is a delight.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
