Always the Procrastinator!

~ ~ ~ Happy Easter ~ ~ ~

This about sums me up . . .  especially when it comes to doing taxes.

After waiting until almost the last minute last year, I promised myself I would not do it again.  As you've probably figured out, that promise did not work out.  My taxes are not difficult.  I use a tax program.  They are pretty basic ~ not at all complicated.  I get a small refund (though I always have to pay the state).  I guess it's just a mental block.  I've finally started them.  Well, started and finished and just need to double check . . . sigh.  Maybe next year I'll do better.

My goals for this week were to get my two small rugs bound, the bunny applique (free Woolen Willow Designs pattern, slightly modified) done and a paw print mat hooked.  The rugs are bound (see previous post) and the bunny applique will go to its new home tomorrow, a thank you to my brother's SO for cooking.

The paw print is started ~ just barely.  I hope to hook a bit more on it tonight.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

  1. We get money back, so we do them right away so we can get the money, lol. Love how your bunny mat came out. Happy Easter to you and your family.

  4. Bunny Applique is CUTE. I might procrastinate binding rugs but one thing I do NOT procrastinate is having my taxes done. No way I'd do my own so have them done by an accountant to be sure I'm not sweating.

Hope you end well with the IRS.

  8. HAPPY EASTER Lauren, Procrastinating is a disease and it's becoming an epidemic. Sure hope they find a cure for it soon. My taxes are not done and we have till the end of April to do our taxes.

I love the bunny applique. The procrastination photo is a real winner.

It looks like Christmas here this morning. We had a snow storm with high wind and drifting last evening and we didn't even ventured to the church service.

I hope the Easter Bunny found you.
    Hugs,

  12. Florida is one of the few states without a state income tax or an inheritance tax. I can usually get all of my money back. I could claim a larger exemption and not pay so much in. However, I am one of those who like to see that money appear in my savings account.Just in time to pay for unexpected house-related emergency.

  15. We have to take our taxes to our accountant because of my business and the state needs theirs in by a certain date so they have been done since January...glad we don't have to tackle them ouselves.
    Love your project.
