Feather Trees ~

Welcome and thank you for stopping by. We had our first snowfall over the weekend ~ just a couple of inches. I'll take snow for Christmas and then it can get warm again {in my dreams!}. I thought I'd start a fire this evening to enjoy while I wrapped gifts.
Eema has decided to get in the Christmas spirit and don an elf hat. Isn't she just too cute?
I love feather trees. This one is just under three feet tall and is the only one that is old. Most of the trees have a combination of old and new ornaments and old bead garland. Celluloid reindeer graze beneath this one. It sits atop a Canadian dough box used as a sofa table.
This is an American made blue green reproduction feather tree from Twins Feather Trees of Cincinnati, Ohio, atop a jelly cupboard in the dining room.
Also in the dining room, this little one sits on the pie safe.
I made the candy canes and stars adorning this tree.
On the upstairs landing.
I hope everyone has had a productive weekend.
I must get back to wrapping presents.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

  2. Oh, that fire looks sooo inviting!
You really have a wonderful Christmas collection! I wish you could meet my Mom, who
does also. When we go for Christmas I'll have to take some pictures.
The feather trees are just perfect in your home with all the antiques. Someday when we have more time, I want to ask you about your samplers.

  4. I LOVE all your feather trees. Now that my children are grown, I stopped putting up a big tree and am moving to several small, tabletop trees around the house. I think a feather tree or two just might be my next purchase!

  6. Hi Lauren - I have been unable to comment on certain blogs (yours is one of them) since I got my new PC at work - not sure what the problem is but it dawned on me that I could still post on my laptop - I always read and enjoy your blog posts but was just unable to leave a comment - very frustrating - Love your santa collection and seeing all your beautiful christmas collectibles - what a super display and the fire is so inviting - was wishing we could have one on christmas but the weather reports say back to 70 here - boo hiss - have a merry christmas - Melody
