Back to Reality ~

I'm home from another fun retreat/hook in!  Sue and I headed to Shipshewana for a couple days of hooking and camaraderie.  Pop on over to her blog to see the vendor booths (but ignore the last picture!!!).

Attendees were asked to bring a completed project or two to share and it didn't have to be a hooked item.  Here is a sampling of the hooked pieces.

This is just too sweet.

Check out the little knitting needles and knitted piece.

Sue's fun purse, beautifully finished.

My rug in the show.

This Santa rug got Best of Show and the People's Choice Award!  Deservedly so!

Punch needle pieces ~

The punch needle version of Proud Lion which I am hooking.

Needle felted.  This must have taken forever.  I'm guessing it was nearly an inch thick.

And last but not least, a mixed media piece.

More to share in my next post.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

  1. Wow, Lauren. I can't believe I'm the first commenter on your post unless someone press the publish button before I'm done typing. It's been for ever since I stopped in for a peek. I love all the pieces . I love how your rug turned out. The optometrist really fixed her eyes. She's gorgeous. A great job.

  2. Loved the show and that knitted piece in the hooked piece was adorable. Interesting there was a NP of the same lion you are hooking. And am anxiously looking forward to seeing the update.

  4. Ok...I absolutely LOVE that first piece with the knitting...and the Santa...WOW!! Also love the "Merry Christmas" punched piece...and am developing and overly fond attachment to that Proud Lion pattern...punched or hooked!!! (Are you and MD conspiring???) But all that said, I still vote your Yellow Bird rug in for the prize. I LOVE her!!!

  5. Yellow bird is fantastic. Always enjoy seeing your rug. Also so many other talented folks out there. Amazing someone thought to add it knitting needles to look like the mouse was knitting. Just such talent. Janice
