Slow Stitchin' ~

I find cross stitch very relaxing, but I am S.L.O.W.  I started this little, and I do mean little sampler 3 weeks ago.  I try to stitch a little each day.  It is Rebecca Hall by Pineberry Lane and measures only 6" x 6 1/2" on 30 ct linen over 2 threads (with a few over one).  The pattern called for using just one strand of floss, but I did not like the coverage so am using 2.

I am still trying to get a few silverplate pieces finished for this weekend's hook in in Ann Arbor, MI.  Plus I really need to think about packing for rug camp.  I will get home late Saturday eve from MI and will be leaving Sunday early afternoon for camp.  Oh, and tomorrow I want to dye wool.  Plus have guild this week.  And grandson's choir concert.  Never a dull moment.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

In my other life I did embroidery, crewel but never ever had the desire to do cross stitch. That is just too time consuming and not a fun way to spend a day. Heck, wouldn't be my way of spending an hour. But give me a rug hook, some wool and could spend hours each day.

Whatever floats your boat and makes each of us happy is what we should do each day.

That is a beautiful piece and fine work, so not something you can rush.

How on earth did you ever find time to work? I love that you are doing all of this fun stuff now. I wish I was going to that one in MI. I think that every year.
Rug camp sounds wonderful too.
I love your stitching. Its so pretty. Good for you working on it everyday.
Have a wonderful time.

Wow...you are busy! I don't like stitching one over two on 30 count either. I just don't think its good coverage. You little sampler is very sweet!

And I remember when you were worried about being bored when you retired!

Love Febreze.

Are you sure you are retired? You sound busier now than since you retired. I love your little sampler but it does sound like an eyeball popper. The count is so small. My sight is not as good as it was. I keep busy but I don't accomplish much now that I'm retired. I play more, maybe.
Have a fun rest of the week.
Hugs, Julia

What a busy little bee you are!! Good luck balancing all those balls LOL. Love your new little stitch....well, love most everything Wendy designs. I am a slow stitcher too....actually, I do most everything slow. Just the way I was built I guess. I am always so reluctant to “vary” from what a design calls for...wish I wasn’t so hesitant because the changes others make I always seem to love. And I so love stitching with 2 strands of floss vs. 1 for the simple reason that it is so much easier to start because you don’t have to worry about the beginning tail. Good luck at the show and have a great time at camp. A rug camp or something similar is on my bucket list....one of these days!!! ~Robin~

Agree about the housework...lol. Pretty little sampler with lovely colors. Take a deep breath and surge forward. You will be ready to go to rug camp and do nothing but pull loops after this week.
