A Right Dapper Fella ~

Here is my snowman from Saturday's class with Marlene Troyer of Perennial Blessings.  Isn't he fun?  Marlene had sewn the nose, hat, coat and body parts.  We just had to hook the face, stuff the body and sew him all together.  It still took many hours of work.  He is just about 2' tall.

He even has eyelashes :)

I just love the button detail we added.

Here is the pattern and information if you are interested.

I was also the lucky winner of her give away.  I guess I can no longer say I never win anything.

I am still not done putting my house back together.  Not even close :(  I have made many trips to the attic (a walk-up attic is both a blessing and a curse) but have not yet started on the big tree.  My living and dining room look like a train wreck.  I need to figure out where I put my "normal" stuff so I can retrieve it and redecorate.  This has not gone nearly as smoothly as I had hoped.  Oh, well.  Oh, hell.  It will get done eventually.

Good news for Cindy Lou Who.  Wednesday morning she will head to Columbus, about 2 1/2 hours south, for her surgery on Thursday.  It is time this girl feels better.  A stone that size has been developing for probably years.  Poor sweet baby.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

My kitchen is the train wreck in our house right now. Its the closest room to our attic. I so love your snowman! Would love to purchase this pattern, however I have way tooooo many patterns that are sitting collecting dust. Janice

Yay for Cindy Lou. I'm so happy that she will be going for surgery sooner and I know you are happy too.
Your snowman is so regal.
My house needs a good cleaning and I've been spending my time in the kitchen making casseroles to give away, Samosas and Espanadas this week. So I've been in the kitchen a lot. At least, I'm starting to get back into being useful. Now it's time to start cleaning and then redecorating the house.
Hugs, Julia

your snowman is so cool - I saw your photos on FB and sent a shout out to you and Katie Allman. That poor little pug girl - I've never seen a huge stone like that before - how horrible. Glad she can get spayed at the same time. I didn't know so much had gone on since I was in blogland. Good luck with that and with getting Christmas put away and winter put out. mel

I love your hooked snowman! So cute -- that button detail is perfect! Sorry the takedown of Christmas is not going as smoothly as hoped. I don't know how you do it every year. So beautiful every time!
