Pupdate ~

I thought I'd give you a quick Enchilada pupdate.  My son affectionately calls her Rice & Beans . . . lol.  I am happy to report she is doing just GREAT :)  She came to rescue because of poop issues after a grandbaby came to live with her.  She wasn't in my house 5 minutes when she pooped in the dining room.  Since then there had been a couple issues the first two times I left her gated in the kitchen area when I had to leave.  Since then (two weeks) she has been the perfect little girl.  I am very attentive and take her out often.  She is a little Velcro dog and always near me, often touching, though she has gotten a little more independent and will sometimes stay in the hooking room after I leave.  She has learned how to go up and down steps (she must have lived in a ranch house), though she does have trouble going down the hardwood steps because they are slick.  I've had other dogs have the same problem.

Lots of pictures to share because she is so stinkin' cute :)

She has the saddest pug eyes I have ever seen.

She loves to jump in bed and snuggle on the pillows.

That profile!!!

Always right next to the hooking frame.  I have to maneuver around her.

Soaking up some morning sun :)

In the morning when I go to the basement for my treadmill time (ugh), I bring the dog bed down and she lays next to it the entire time.

Enchilada is a delight and she will make someone very happy.  She is such a good, loving girl.  She snuggles up to me at night and waits patiently for me in the morning while I get ready to take her out.  Ernestine has decided she is not too fond of her and there have been some problems, but we are working on those.  It's a side of Ernestine we had never seen.  She did not have a problem with my previous foster Pretty Girl.  It makes you wonder what goes on in their little puppy brain.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

I think she is so beautiful. I love her sweet face. She is really coming along. You are such a good person to do that.
I wonder why Earnestine doesn't like her. Where would we be without or furry friends. Have a lovely evening.

She does have the saddest eyes, but she is adorable. I hope she finds a good home, so sad that her owners stopped giving her the love she got before the baby came.

Thanks so much for sharing! She is so sweet. I would be so tempted if it were not for two mini rescue dachshunds who constantly guard their forever home against other potential dogs. They are not good about sharing us :)

Poor little girl was probably heartbroken to be removed from her family. Sticking to you so you don't leave her! She'll be a great companion now for someone.

She is sweet for sure and you have worked your magic. my daughter called and they have to make the decision to help her very old dog over rainbow bridge and she is a mess. that is the downside to loving an animal so much.

It's probably not easy to be a foster pug but you sure work your magic on her. She is skingin' cute...

Maybe she just want to make sure this is her last home. Poor Ernestine to feel jealous now, makes you wonder what goes on in a dog's brain indeed.
Ernestine can see how attached to you Enchilada is getting to you.
Thanks for sharing the photos Lauren.

Heartbroken indeed....those eyes. Is she saying I'm sorry I pooped when the baby came, will my mommy come take me home soon? While she waits, she'll cling like crazy to her new mommy & Ernestine is not to happy about that. What kind of collars do you have on Enchilada? My pugs just want to choke themselves on every type I've tried. Did you make the rug she's sitting on in the profile picture? Looks gorgeous, would love to see the whole thing!

Hi Lauren,
Enchilada is just so adorable and those eyes of hers just melt your heart!! So happy she has come so far and your love and care has made all the difference!! Hoping she and Ernestine will "kiss and make up" soon!! Dogs can be so territorial, can't they??
Hope you have a great weekend, my friend!

My boy Ben used to put his chin or me or my frame to force my attention. Enjoy the velco because I miss mine.

Ooooh so cute! You are one special lady. To care for these precious babies. But then, to let them go. How do you manage that? Not sure I could. Daughter Pam is a foster for poms. the last one she adopted. Your rugs are so wonderful. Think I am about ready to give my floor model rug hooking frame its first whirl. Sometimes I am all talk.
