The Wish ~

Ernestine hopes that all your Christmas dreams and wishes came true.  I am so happy she found her way in to our lives.  Please, if you are considering a pet of any kind, adopt, don't shop.

Weeks of decorating, shopping, preparations ~ over in an eye blink.  Unfortunately grandson Jake did not get to spend any of the day with us, so we will celebrate again tomorrow with him.

I've seen on Facebook people who already have all their decorations put away.  I like to enjoy mine a bit longer.  I know some of you leave yours up until the feast of the Epiphany, but mine begin to come down on January 2.  Thankfully they come down MUCH faster than they go up.

My hooking mojo has recently disappeared.  I have another Santa mat almost done, but I have to force myself to even pull a few loops.  I did transfer a simple pattern to linen, so maybe if I start that I will be inspired.  My mojo better return soon because I leave for rug camp in two and a half weeks.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

Ernestine is a cutie pie and I can tell she's been a blessing in your family.

I may take my Christmas decorations on Jan 2nd too this year as it's only my husband and I.

George and I had a chicken sandwich for our Christmas dinner as I had not bought a turkey for us because my daughter's family were catering the whole family dinner at our house but when the wether became so bad with blowing snow over freezing rain I called to tell them to stay home. This is a first time not to have a family Christmas dinner in 51 years. It was quiet, relaxing and peaceful and we worked on a gig-saw puzzle while sipping on wine...

I hope you find your hooking mojo or maybe it's time to take a break and try something new for a little while.

Hugs, Julia ☃️

I love Earnestine! What a cute little face she has. My son's girlfriend has her little pug in the Philippines. Just seeing the pictures of your dogs makes her so happy. She really misses Frank. :) This is her first time being away from her family. Its been nice for her to be with us though.
I am one of those types who jumped out of bed this morning and got everything put away. I got so much hooking things for Christmas, I am back in business! I hope you have a wonderful day with Jake. I know your Mojo will be back. Now onto New Year.

It does come fast and over in a blink of an eye. I keep my decorations up most of the month, I am lazy, lol. I plan on repainting so that means everything comes down for now and we can get it done before any major holidays. Have fun with Jake tomorrow.

Ernestine is such a sweetie! :-) I'll leave our decorations up until this weekend. We don't have New Year's celebrations at our home... so it's just best (for me) to get a jump start on January's organizing rituals while I have an extra day off from the job.... Merry Christmas and Happy Hooking!! :-)

My daughter takes her stuff down the day after christmas but she has everything put up the day after thanksgiving. I start taking down after the new year I do like looking at my tree in the cold nights.
Have a wonderful time with jake
And I hope you get your mojo back.

I don't know why that mojo gets lost sometimes. It happens to me almost every time I finish a rug. It seems there is a hump I have to get over before I find my get up and go. Hope your mojo finds its way home to you soon. ..jan

Although I didn't have a lot of Christmas decorations out, none of them have been put away yet.

IF,..I ever get another dog it will be a rescue. Miss my boy Ben terribly and think of him several times during the day and night. Even come to tears sometimes. Enjoy Ernestine.

Ernestine is adorable! I do keep my Christmas decor up a few weeks after the New Year, but am itching to start bringing out the hearts. Where do you purchase your rug hooking linen? I cannot find it here anymore where I live. Janice

Ernestine is certainly Miss Photogenic!!! What a prize she is. I am always ready to get my decorations down. Maybe Friday. Enjoy your time with Jake. Can’t wait to hear about your trip to Jacksonville.
