New Year's Eve Eve ~

Jake is so much like his dad (and me) in that he hates having his picture taken, but I can't resist.

Ernestine ~ just because she is so stinkin' cute and sweet.  What joy she has brought us :)

I am working on transferring my pattern to linen.  (I use window screen to transfer a pattern.)  I'm trying not to wait until the last minute before heading to rug camp in less than two weeks.  At 24" x 34", this is a big pattern for me.  Tulip and Peony by Maggie Bonanomi found in her book "A Day at Sunny Brook".

I still haven't finished my little Santa mat.  So ludicrous (or as someone I know says ludicrist) since it really is a small pattern.  Next on the frame will be this pattern by Olde Scotties Primitives (ebay seller wpd74), titled Three Leaf Urn.  Also on the paper pattern it says N.E. Gravestone Urn ~ c 1778-1898 .  As you can see by my redrawn lines, I've tweaked the pattern a bit.

Wools I have chosen ~ of course better in person ~ and will have a dark background.

More snow today and C-O-L-D which will continue for another week, but nothing like what Cathy at Acorn Hollow is experiencing in New Hampshire.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

I only have one of Maggie's books I think. Will have to check to see if it is that one as I like that pattern.

Jake is adorable! Ernestine looks as if all the festivities have tired her out. Love your Maggie choice. I need to get back to the one I started...Thistle Down Moon. My hope for the new year is to get more hooking and stitching done.
Have a Happy New Year!

That Jake has gone from a cute boy to a handsome young man. Love your projects! Have fun in Florida! It will feel great after all the cold we are in for more frigid weather headed down from Canada. We got to 9 today and really didn't feel bad.

Have fun in all of that warm weather. Jake is such a nice looking young man. I just love that red hair. It looks nice and cozy there. Yes, Earnestine is just the cutest dog in the world. I love your new rug designs. Happy New Year to you too.

Jake has gotten from cute to handsome. I bet the girls are after him.
I love Ernestine and I'm so glad she has brought you both such joy.

It looks like you are seriously starting to hook again. Have fun in Florida I hope the weather warms up for you. We are in a deep freeze here, making my barn chores double the work
Stay safe and warm. Happy new Year.
Hugs, Julia

I'm like that too -- hate having my picture taken. Lovely pictures of Jake -- it's hard to get good ones of those like us. My son is that way too with the picture taking! Hates it. Love seeing your future rug projects. I bet you're excited for rug camp! Happy New Year!

Hi Lauren,
Jake is so handsome and I know you are so proud of him!! Ernestine is a little doll and each time I see her I think of how cute she and Pretty Girl looked together!!
Love your pattern and sure do hope to start hooking this next year!! Our temps are chilly in the mornings but it is supposed to reach the mid 70's later today!! I have to keep changing my clothes!
Happy New Year, my friend!
