Call Me Crazy ~

Saturday was Christmas open house day in Seville, Ohio, so a friend and I made the journey down.  Lots of wonderful antiques at the Seville Antique Mall, but not at prices I was willing to pay.  I did get this vintage papier mache Santa boot filled with heavenly smelling preserved juniper.

On our way home, we stopped at a couple more antique malls.  In Lodi,  I found seven bags of vintage glass garland for a super price, so of course all of them came home with me.

I have many strands of garland with just round beads, but these were wonderful.  Some have damage, but that is okay by me.

The center of Lodi is built around a town square.  These figures were scattered throughout.

This guy's name was Charles MacIntosh . . . lol :)

We made one last stop at the antique mall in Wellington.  I purchased these vintage glass ornaments.

I have a half dozen or so trees in the attic that I am not using, so what do I do?  Buy a new tinsel tree.  Six feet tall, very narrow, and only $20 at Walmart.  This is the first time I have ever had a tree with only vintage glass ornaments on it.  I am pleased, but I do need to find some more ornaments.  There's plenty out there, but I'm not willing to spend much on them.

I already have one of these small, plastic 1950's light up Santas, but it is missing the wreath.  I was never sure what was supposed to be there.  Maybe I can fashion a wreath for it.

My last purchase was one more 1950's choir boy.

~ Happy International Rug Hooking Day ~

I hope I find a few minutes to pull some loops.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Pug hugs :)

Hi Lauren,
Great finds, as always!! That tree will be the perfect spot for those glass ornaments! The figurines are really life like! Wonder what happens to the clothes when it rains or snows?
Thanks for sharing and hope you have a great week!

What fun it would be to walk about the town of Lodi and see all those great life size people Who was the artist of them, do you know? Your silver tinsel tree looks cute and doesn't look bare at all. Sometimes less is better.

I have a tree full of vintage ornaments and love it but I love that skinny tree you got at walmart. It would fit any where.

How fun to walk around town and seeing these folks. Lots of care was given in putting them up. Made me giggle at the cop and inmate one. I have always thought Seville was a bit pricey, but have found a few things in the few times we have went. It is out of our way usually, so do not go often. Love your ornaments and choir boys! I have one box of vintage ornament that I didn't put on the tree this year and not even the silver beads garland made it on the tree. The girls decorated the tree this year. Yes I was that busy..

I love these choir kids and the vintage ornament. I love green fir trees. I can't get used to the white tree, I'm so old fashion.

Oh that garland! We lost our antique mall and I don't have the gumption to travel too far. They are fabulous. The new tree is a bargain and looks wonderful.

What an interesting town to visit. I'm wondering, are those 'people' weatherproof ?
Really like the oval glass beaded strands. Gorgeous !
I admire your energy to go 'all out' decorating.

I love seeing your decorating (from the last post) and the visit to the town too. So where did you get your feather trees from??? I've always wanted one. I should bite the bullet.

Fun finds and I love your tinsel tree, love how it looks. We got a pencil tree, nice to have a tree without having to find a space.
