HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
I'm hoping my next project will use up lots of leftover worms and small pieces of wool. The only wool I will have to cut is for the background. The pattern can be found in the Laurie Simpson and Polly Minick book, The Spirit of Sacagawea.
I have a couple baskets of small wool pieces and lots of worms to do the scrappy border.
Here is the pattern laid out on the dining room table. Instead of 21 crosses, I've enlarged it to 28. As you can see, I use grey window screen to transfer my patterns.
The pattern without the outer border drawn is already 22 1'2" x 38" so it's another biggie. I probably will not hook it start to finish since I have 2 classes in March where I will be starting new rugs. This should be pretty much a no brainer but the hard part will be keeping all the crosses in line.

Will enjoy watching the rug grow. It really is nice to have a 'filler' project with a no brainer to work on between projects or to take to camp and work on until the teacher gets to you.
That's a perfect project to use up those extra wool worms. You'll be able to enjoy pulling hoops without pulling your hair.
I'm almost done with hooking my deworming challenge rug.

How cool. I need to draw out something so I can just use worms. I always learn so much. Window screen. What a great idea. I have that book, so I need to go back and look at the patterns. Still walking? I have been sick for must of Feb. But I kept up with the dots. :) I hope to get back at it soon. I am not on antibiotics. Today is the first day I feel human.

I love it, too! I think that sometimes, it's not the pattern, it's the dance of color! I've made a few quilts that aren't very difficult, but it was all about the color choices. Can't wait!
