Color Planning ~

Next Saturday at this time, the Sauder rug hooking retreat will be winding to a close.  Two days of hooking heaven :)  Melissa and I will actually meet Bobbie there Thursday afternoon.  It's always fun time ~ I think this is our fourth year going.

Of course I always agonize over what I am going to hook.  Presently there is n-o-t-h-i-n-g on my frame.  I am almost done binding my Lori Rippey stag rug and that means I am caught up on my binding.  That doesn't happen very often and when it does, I always vow not to let that happen again, but we all know the road to hell is paved with good intentions . . . lol.  I also have two more hearts to finish and stuff.

Subject to change, of course, here is the rug I plan to start at Sauder.  Daisy, adapted from Lori Brechlin folk art by Spruce Ridge Studios.  It is a rather large (for me) pattern.  I plan to hook it with a dark background.

Wools I have pulled so far.

A couple years ago at the Lakeside hooking retreat, Bobbie was hooking it.  Here is her completed rug.  Wonderful, no?

Happy Saturday to you.  A very pleasant day on Ohio's north coast.  I even spent a bit of time raking leaves from the little brick patio.  One day closer to spring :)

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

Lucky girl to be going to Sauder Village rug hooking retreat. You've been good to finish all your rugs so you really deserve to go and have fun.

I love your choice of colors.

We've been having spring like weather again today so no complaining here.

Enjoy your hooking weekend. Like you said, one day closer to spring.
Hugs,
JB

I think it is so much fun when you go to that hooking at Sauder Village. Gosh is it here again already? I really do like that rug. I have liked it since I first saw that pattern. It looks like you would have fun hooking it.
I had to laugh, yes, you are one day closer to spring, but we always have our worst weather in Feb-March.
How nice too you are caught up with binding. That is a nice feeling. Of which I have not done yet. :) Happy Saturday!

I envy your being able to go to Sauder. Love your choice of rugs. And it looks like you are headed in the right direction with your choice of wool. Will you have a teacher or just be spending time with hooking buddies? Of course, they can be the best teachers of all!!

Love your rug choice and color choices...can't wait to see it with a dark background...I stink at visualizing...and stink worse at color planning... I decided to finish hooking Little Crow's stocking before resuscitating my heart rug, even if that means the heart won't be done for Valentine's Day. Who am I kidding? It would never be "finished" finished by then even if the hooking were done. And weird....I just today visited Lori's blog and looked through her wonderful designs...and purchased the stag rug pattern. Twins we be. Now...hmmmm...when will THAT actually get on my frame? Enjoy Sauder... I'm jelly!!! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
