Antique Goodes ~

Just thought I'd share my newest old acquisitions.  This sweet little crock was won on a Facebook auction.  It is the first time I've bid on one of the auctions.  It has a small hairline crack in the base.  A wonderful addition to my "cracked crock" collection.

Sunday was the antique show on the square in Medina.  The middle feather edge pepper pot was one of my purchases.  The base has been repaired but it was a very good price :)  I'm so happy I found it before someone else did.

I was thrilled to find this antique sampler.  There is a bit of thread loss in the upper left corner, but overall it is WONDERFUL.  It is signed Elizabeth Boyer . . .

. . . and dated 1823.

I now have 2 antique samplers that need to be hung.  What a terrible problem to have :)

How can it possibly be July?   What is happening here?  Time is flying by much too quickly.

Pug hugs :)
Lauren

I didn't even know they had auctions on Facebook!! How fun is that?! I love the sampler....despite the thread loss, it's fun to think about the person who stitched it.

Lauren,
Love all of your recent antique finds! Yes, it must be so hard to find a spot for those two antique samplers!! lol This one is a beauty. I don't have any antique ones. I guess I'm missing out on a lot by not having a FB account but I just don't want one. I can't believe it's July either. Thanks for sharing your goodies. Hugs, Lori

I love that crock. I am so glad you won that bid. I never have one a bid. I would love to collect crocks someday but out here they are so terribly expensive. You know I love that feather edge patten you collect. I have never seen that before. I just love the blue and white. That sampler is so pretty. That is really a nice find.
Have a lovely weekend.

Love the crock. Isn't it exciting to win? I was thinking of going to Medina for the Roots show but doubt I would buy anything with those prices. Any length of a drive makes me bonkers anyway. July already. Ain't that a bitch?

What fun goodies! The crock is great. I always find the leaks in my crocks after I fill them with water and flowers!
The sampler is very sweet...and so early! Have a fun 4th!
