Almost Back Together ~

Thank you so much for all your kind comments on my last post.  They truly touched my heart.  I loved Robyn's idea of a memory jar. Unfortunately, most of the pieces were just unrecognizable chards of glass and were too quickly thrown away.  Of course, in hindsight, I wish I had saved some of them.  I think I was in too much of a state of shock.  The pieces I did salvage are safely (???) tucked away.

I spent a good part of the weekend putting the house back together.  Most of it is done and after at least twenty trips to the attic there are no more boxes cluttering the house.  The only major thing left to do is return the featheredge to the dining room cupboard.  I have been collecting it for over 25 years.  You can read more about my collection here.

I still don't have a rug on the frame so decided to hook some small hearts and hopefully turn them into lavender sachets, but you know how I am about "finishing" things.

Not much else going on in my world.  I hope all is well in yours.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

I missed your last post and went back to read it I am so very sorry I feel so badly for you so many memories on that tree. I love your dishes and at least you are hooking more than I am doing.

It's a tough enough job putting away Chrismas without a major incident to deal with. I'm sure the lavender sachets will be lovely. I had a thought of making lots of them but then I remembered the finishing part. After 10 or so I gave up. Hang in there

I still have to put my things away, been a tough week, so not much getting done from me. Love the hooked hearts, I was thinking of making some rag style, need to get organized this week.

I'm so glad to hear that your house is back to normal. Your heart lavender sachets sounds like a great idea I wouldn't have a clue how to go about it.
Good luck with those. I so love the scent of Lavender.
Hugs,

Yes, I'm sure you were heart sick looking at the ornaments which couldn't be salvaged. And had a thought that you could get some plaster at a craft shop and do a sorta tile heart shape with pieces. But you say you disposed of most/all.

But your hooked hearts and LOVELY. Heck, that's next month and I haven't even begun to hook one yet. I'm still on Santa and Christmas has come and gone. That's me..... always late.

Oh my! I'm so sorry about what happened to all your ornaments! Hopefully the stand can be adapted to prevent the tree from sliding again. We had that happen to one of our trees.... and we now have a stand that has a cone shape on the bottom that pokes into the trunk of the tree... Love those hooked hearts you have on your frame! Time to think Spring!

Hi Lauren, I love those dishes. So sad to see your hook there. Mine is forever gone I guess. I am waiting for the Canal Winchester shop to open tomorrow and I can get a new one. I haven't touched my hook since last summer................I guess it's heart was just broken!
Have a good week.

I love your collections. I like your little hearts too. I wish I could see all that, I feel like I learn so much when you are showing your collections. Things I have seen in antique stores but never really knew about them.
I still am so sorry about your crash.
I hope you have a wonderful week.
