A Quote by Abraham Lincoln ~

...and I hope you did, too.
I received this in an email today from Judi and the boyz (her 3 pugs) in Florida.
Thank you, Judi. I thought it very appropriate.

"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage
by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them,
what they could and should do for themselves."
... Abraham Lincoln
God Bless America!

Amen! Never were there any other words so true! People need to start taking responsibility for their own actions and self...

I too voted and abraham lincoln got it right. Only When people start taking resposibility for their own lives and money will there truly be change.

A voice of reason after a nasty, nasty election season. Would we recognize a leader like this if we heard him today, or would our 24 hour media rip him down for being tall, or never having finished school, or wearing an odd hat??

I also voted - hope that most did. Abe sure gave us great words to live by. I wonder how many people heed them?
